Monday we went to the park. It was such a beautiful day and I figured are days are starting to get numbered with being outside. Brooklyn had a good time swinging and going down the slides.

2 Weddings On the Same Day....
Last weekend was very busy for us, especially Saturday. We started off the day going to Levi and Amanda Bauer's wedding at Immaculate Conception in Old Monroe. Ben was in the wedding so he had a job to do, so it was Brooklyn and I to attend everything just the two of us. it was a long day but we had a great time. Then we attended my cousin's (Danny and Gina Pralle) reception in St. Charles at the Wine Gardens. It was outside it was very hot but we had great company. We got to see relatives that we had not seen in a long time. It was great to catch up and hope we get to see them soon again. After that Brooklyn was needing a much needed nap so we left there and went back the Bauer's reception in St. Paul. Brooklyn feel asleep before we even hit the highway. Yeah!!!! The Bauer reception was a wonderful time. Brooklyn had a great time dancing with her daddy and her cousins. Hope you enjoy the pics. They are out of order sorry haven't figured that out yet.
Brooklyn shaking her daddy's hand. Ben was making a deal with her that if they could sit out on this song dancing that he would dance the next one with her. He decided that she needs a boyfriend because his feet were hurting from dancing so much with her.

I thought this was so cute. At the Pralle reception Brooklyn kept peeking her head inside the kitchen to see what was going on in there. Very mischievous.

Sponge Rollers
Brooklyn's hair is finally getting long enough to try sponge rollers. We put them in one night and she lasted an hour with them in. So the next night we put them in again and she slept in them all night long. When we took them out the next morning I couldn't believe how curly her hair was. For Halloween one year I think she could be orphan Annie. Have fun looking.
I don't think that she has that many rollers in her hair either.
Curly Sue!!
Definitely orphan Annie don't you think?
This was after wetting it down with the squirt bottle to relax it some.

A Reel-y Good Time
Sunday night we went fishing in our lake. We caught alot of fish mainly bass and bluegill. Brookie was all about touching them. She loves to go fishing.
Brookie and her fish she caught. Mommy "Am I a Keeper?"
Brookie liked holding the worms too. She would pick them up and stretch them out.
Brookie and Daddy with the fish.
Brookie had to kiss the fish. She was so funny. She kept making fish faces at it.
Mommy and Brookie with the first catch of the day.
I love the expression on Brooklyn's face. She was taking everything all in.
Brookie and Mommy taking the fish off of the hook.

Rehearsal dinner...
This past weekend we had the rehearsal dinner for Levi and Amanda's wedding. At the dinner Levi's dad (Joe) gave Levi his Grandpa Bauer's wedding band as a keepsake. Granny Bauer was there that evening to witness it. It was very touching. Then Levi's parents gave Amanda beautiful diamond earrings that matched her wedding ring. Here are some pictures from the night.

The Pick of the Crop
Brookie had her first taste of corn on the cob. It came fresh out of our garden. She wasn't sure about it at first she was trying to bite into the cob. Finally she caught on how to eat it.

Down on the Farm...
We went to Immaculate Conception Picnic. Brookie had a great time there. We bought a ticket for the children's raffle and Brookie won this John Deere pedal tractor and wagon. She was so excited. When we got home she would put her blankie and stuffed animals in the wagon to pull them. She can actually reach the pedals too.
